Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated the students who did the best in Punjab’s educational boards. She also praised their parents and teachers for supporting them, especially since they succeeded even without having all the needed facilities and resources.
At an award ceremony, she happily said We are very glad that out of 138 top students across nine boards in Punjab, 70 are girls, and 68 are boys.
She talked about the government’s promise to improve education in public schools. She announced that starting September 5, a new program will provide milk packs to students from nursery to fifth grade to help with nutrition. The program will first start in South Punjab.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a Rs25 billion scholarship program to help bright students go to top universities like LUMS, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, IBA, COMSATS, FAST, and others. She said the Punjab government will pay for their tuition fees.
