The temporary government of Sindh has officially set a new date for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).
According to the Sindh Health Department, MDCAT will be held again on November 19. Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) will manage the test this time.
The exam will take place at the Karachi Expo Centre from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. This decision came about because it was discovered that the test paper had been leaked.
The Chief Minister’s House released a statement, mentioning that the caretaker CM Sindh decided to retake the exam based on the inquiry committee’s advice. Additionally, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was tasked with investigating those responsible for the paper leak.
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) also decided to retake the exam on November 26. This time, Khyber Medical University (KMU) will conduct the test, with the support of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to ensure fairness.
Importantly, there will be no extra fees for students taking the retake exam.
