Beaconhouse National University (BNU), a special university in Pakistan, recently shared exciting news! They’ve joined forces with DigitalOcean LLC, a company that helps new businesses and digital companies grow. This special partnership is all about supporting and cheering for entrepreneurs in Pakistan who may not always get the attention they deserve. It’s like teamwork to help everyone succeed.
This kind and helpful project is all about supporting entrepreneurs and making sure everyone gets a fair chance. They want to create equal opportunities, especially for women who want to start their own businesses all over the country. It’s like giving a big helping hand to make sure everyone can succeed.
A special project started by carefully choosing the best ideas from all over the country. Many people shared their plans, and after checking them really well, two groups called Behbud & Weecommerce were chosen. They are getting special help to make their ideas work and help everyone in areas that need it most.
Behbud wants to help women all over the country by giving them access to healthcare, education, jobs, and training, no matter where they come from. Weecommerce has already helped start over 40 websites for women who run their own businesses from home. They want to keep helping women achieve all their dreams. Both groups really want to teach as much as they can to help everyone grow.

“The DO BNU grant approval is like a big yes to helping Behbud Association become even better, stronger, and able to keep going for a long time,” explained Bushra Prevaiz Kausar, who is a very important person at Behbud Association in Karachi. “The training we’re doing with them is also going to help women who make things by hand, giving them the power to start their own businesses and make their dreams come true. It’s like a big splash that will make good things happen not just for these women but also for their families and communities.
DigitalOcean and BNU are really dedicated to helping out! They’re going to spend a lot of money over the next two years (from 2024 to 2025) to help entrepreneurs in Pakistan grow and succeed. It’s like giving a big boost to make sure everyone has a chance to do well.
People who are chosen will get lots of help through a big support system, including:
- Money Help: People who get selected will receive money, like a special gift, ranging from USD 25,000 to 40,000. This will help them have enough money and make their businesses grow.
- Free Tech Help: DigitalOcean will give them free credits (like special coupons) worth $2,500. They can use these credits to get fancy technology for their businesses.
- Learning Time: The chosen entrepreneurs will get to learn new things from DigitalOcean. They will teach them important stuff like how to get money for their business and how to tell people about their products.
- Friendship and Advice: They will also make new friends at DigitalOcean who will give them great advice. It’s like having a friend who knows a lot about business and can help them figure out tricky things.
