Pakistani Madrassa Sets World Record with 1 Million Hafiz e Quran

Wifaq Ul Madaris, a Board in Pakistan, has done something amazing! They broke a world record by helping more than 1 million kids become Hafiz e Quran, which means they’ve memorized the whole Quran

This all started back in 1982 when Wafaq ul Madaris started a special test. Since then, over a million students have finished memorizing the Quran.-

The secretary of wifaq ul madaris, Qari Haneef Jalandhari, shared some cool facts. In 2019 alone, over 78,000 students became Hafiz e Quran, and guess what? Around 14,000 of them were girls.

Kids as young as four years old start learning at these schools and finish memorizing the Quran in just two years and three years. But that’s not all they learn! They also study subjects like English, Urdu, Math, Pakistan Studies, and Science.

Recognizing the fact that Arabic is not our national language, but more kids from Pakistan are memorizing Quran in comparison with Saudi Arabia.

And guess what? The Saudi Government even gave wifaq ul madaris an award for their awesome work.

Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari, who is in charge of Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, has come to the Kingdom to receive an award. His Board runs lots of schools in Pakistan, about 12,000 of them.

He’s getting an award for helping the most people become huffaz of the Qur’an in the world during 2013-2014. He got invited by the Muslim World League, and he’ll get the award at a big conference on July 27. The governor of Makkah will be there too!

While he’s in the Kingdom, Qari Hanif Jalandhari will meet some important people, like       Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al-Turki, who is in charge of the Muslim World League, and the leaders of Ummul Qura University and Jamiya Islamia in Madinah.”

In a meeting with scholars here, Qari Hanif Jalandhari declared, “The two holy cities are the centers of Islam,” while thanking King Abdullah, Custodian of the Holy Mosques, for his services to the two sacred cities. According to him, Saudi Arabia is deserving of leading the Muslim world.

The largest federation of Islamic seminaries in the world is called Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia, and it is situated in Multan, west Pakistan. The federation is connected to roughly 8,000 Iqra schools and 12,000 madrassahs in Pakistan.
