Exciting News! Google Offers 45,000 AI Scholarships for Pakistani Students

Google wants to make sure everyone can enjoy AI, and they think learning is super important. That’s why they made Google AI Essentials, a special course to help people learn about AI. And guess what? They’re giving out 45,000 scholarships for Google Career Certificates this year. Plus, they’re adding two new programs to teach freelancers and women new skills.

Best new educational course launched by Google for AI beginners :

Introducing Google AI Essentials, a cool new course for beginners. It’s taught by experts from Google, and you can learn at your own pace online. You don’t need any experience with AI to join. This course is made to help everyone, no matter what job they have, to learn important AI skills. You’ll get to try out different AI tools and learn how to be more productive.

In this course, you’ll learn to use AI tools for thinking up ideas and making daily tasks faster. You’ll also discover how to write good prompts and use AI carefully by spotting any unfairness. Google AI Essentials is on Coursera in English.

Besides Google AI Essentials, there are Google Career Certificates (GCC) that get you ready for starting jobs in growing areas like Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or Digital Marketing. Google’s also added extra stuff to certificates so learners can see how AI is used in their jobs and try it out themselves.

Google to Offer 45,000 Scholarships for Career Certificates in 2024 :

In 2024, Google plans to provide up to 45,000 scholarships for Google Career Certificates. In Pakistan, 80% of GCC graduates from the first launch in 2022 said the program helped them move forward in their careers. Also, surveys by partners (IRM/TechValley, 2023) found that 28% of women who finished the program saw their finances grow, 24% got a new job or a promotion, and 91% felt more confident after finishing the program.

Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) Freelancer and Career Kamyabi programs :

Introducing the PAFLA Freelancer and Career Success programs. Pakistan has the third largest freelancing economy globally, and it’s super important to keep our freelancers competitive, especially in today’s fast changing digital world. This year, Google teamed up with the Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) to create a program helping Pakistani freelancers with soft skills like personal branding and communication. Up to 50,000 PAFLA freelancers can join this program taught by Google pros.

Google and its partner Tech Valley are teaming up to create a Career Success program to encourage and support women in the workforce. This program wants to make sure women have the same chances as men to work and grow in their careers. With support from over 50 top employers in Pakistan, it helps women find job opportunities and supports them in their professional growth.

Farhan Qureshi, Google’s Country Director for Pakistan, said, With Google Career Certificates, we want to keep helping Pakistan grow digitally. Our scholarships and training are not just about tech exploration, but also about giving financial power to young Pakistanis.
