Islamabad’s Federal Directorate of Education announced summer vacation for all schools within Islamabad Capital Territory.
The holiday will start on June 10 and go until July 31. Most students will have a break during the hot weather, but students in undergraduate classes (BS/ADP programs) will keep studying without a break, following the semester calendar.
During the summer vacation, schools will work on different activities to improve their buildings and how they work. This includes checking what supplies they have, fixing and taking care of furniture, buildings, and playgrounds, and having training sessions for teachers at the end of July.
The CPD sessions help teachers learn new skills and ways to make teaching and learning better, according to the FDE. To make sure these sessions work well, school leaders are asked to involve teachers and use their knowledge to finish tasks effectively.
The authority in charge of Islamabad’s government schools and colleges also mentioned that teachers will take part in training sessions. They will be told the schedule later so they can plan and join in.
