He also stated, Each year, the initiative will award scholarships to 100 of the brightest Emirati students in Dubai. Making our young people stronger is really important for our future plan of having a smart and knowledgeable economy. When we invest in the youth of Dubai now, we’re making sure that tomorrow will be full of success and prosperity.

This special program is open to graduates from both public and private schools in Dubai.

Selection criteria.

The way students will be chosen for this program depends on the rules set by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). When students can apply will match up with when high school results are announced, considering the different schedules for various curricula.

This idea is part of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which was started by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and also the Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Hamdan expressed, “Putting resources into the higher education of Emiratis and giving our young people knowledge is really important for creating and maintaining a smart society. The Dubai Government is firmly dedicated to giving what’s needed to support high-achievers, guiding them to become capable and influential leaders with advanced skills. This will contribute to enriching different sectors in Dubai and creating new successes in the development journey of our city. This initiative acknowledges students who are working hard in their studies and personal goals, assisting them in reaching their dreams.”

For the last two school years, he’s been acknowledging the best 25 high school students in Dubai. These students come from different schools and study different things, like the Ministry of Education, British and American curricula, and also the IB (International Baccalaureate). Now, a new plan will add more scholarships on top of the ones already there. This will help 75 more students, making it a total of 100 amazing students getting scholarships every year.

Strategic objectives.

In line with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, the Hamdan bin Mohammed Academic Scholarship Programme helps with two big goals. First, it wants to make Dubai one of the top 10 cities in the world for good education by 2033. The program is made in a smart way to help Dubai’s future. It will create amazing leaders who will come up with new ideas in different areas and make Dubai a really smart and knowledgeable place.

On top of that, the program is made so students can get scholarships to really good international universities. They can study special things that match what Dubai needs for its economy. This way, the scholarships fit in with the plans for future development in different areas. This helps more people in Dubai take part in the economy and meets the goals of the Dubai Social Agenda 33. One of the goals is to have three times as many people from Dubai working in private companies compared to now.

Mixing money help with a smart plan, the Hamdan bin Mohammed Academic Scholarship Programme wants to help talented kids, cheer on those who come up with cool ideas, and grow great leaders. This idea is a big move to make students really good at leading while also making Dubai’s knowledge world even better. It also helps to make new ideas, be creative, and open up chances for moving forward.
