Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar asked the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to create scholarships for technical and scientific studies that meet worldwide standards. In a meeting in Islamabad, PM Kakar stressed the need to make sure that universities in Pakistan teach subjects that are important for today’s jobs.
At a meeting with important people like Minister Madad Ali Sindhi and Dr. Mukthar Ahmed, the Prime Minister talked about giving scholarships for science and technical studies to meet what the whole world needs.
They talked about higher education, like how 259 schools got recognized by the HEC. The Prime Minister heard that more universities in Pakistan are getting really good, like the ones worldwide. Also, lots of scholarships, more than 20,000, have been given for Ph.D. programs by the HEC.
They talked about stopping people from copying in schoolwork, and they told the Prime Minister about scholarships in our country and around the world. PM Kakar asked for a detailed report on how well the scholarships the government gives are helping students, and he wants to fix any problems students face in getting these scholarships when they study in other countries.
The Prime Minister, PM Kakar, talked about helping people learn more about science and engineering. He learned about a plan where schools and companies work together, and he said we should find ways to get money for research from technology and medicine companies.
PM Kakar wanted all the leaders from different parts of our country to meet and talk about school problems. He said it’s really important for us to have really good schools so our country can grow. He also asked for a special program to teach people important jobs like nursing. PM Kakar thinks if we train well, people from our country can work anywhere in the world.
They talked about what the HEC is doing in technology, like setting up really smart computer places in Lahore and Karachi and using super-strong computers for important work.
